[情報] Freeman thrust right into Braves' lineup
Rookie could get regular time at first with Lee's back balking
Freddie Freeman was thrilled to learn that he was getting his first call to
the Majors. The experience was enriched Wednesday, when he walked into the
Braves clubhouse for the first time as a Major Leaguer and found his name in
the starting lineup.
Freeman will bat sixth and play first base during Wednesday night's game
against the Mets. His father, Fred Freeman, positioned himself in Terrace
Level seats at Turner Field at about 3:40 p.m. ET, a little less than an hour
before his son took batting practice for the first time as a Major Leaguer.
Freeman was named the International League's Rookie of the Year Tuesday. The
highly regarded 20-year-old prospect batted .319 with 18 homers and an .898
OPS in 124 games with Triple-A Gwinnett this year.
With Derrek Lee's back still providing some discomfort, Freeman may get more
than just a couple of starts at first base. He is expected to fill that role
on an everyday basis for the Braves next year.

今天Freeman先發打第六棒
Lee背還是有點不舒服 所以Freeman會有比較多機會上場
而明年Freeman將會是everyday 1st baseman
