[情報] Aramis sits out with swelling in thumb
CHICAGO -- Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez was not in the lineup for the
second day Sunday because his left thumb injury has flared up again.
"The trainer came to me [Saturday] and said [Ramirez] had a little swelling
in the meat portion of his hand and he suggested we give him a little
breather, and that's what we're doing," Cubs manager Lou Piniella said.
How long will Ramirez be sidelined?
"Whenever he's ready to go, we'll get him back in there," Piniella said.
Ramirez did not take batting practice Sunday and said he can't put a
timetable on how long he'll be out.
"I felt it really bad a couple of days ago," Ramirez said. "When you get to
the park you see how it is."
Ramirez was on the disabled list from June 8-25 because of a sprained left
thumb. He is batting .177 with six homers and 23 RBIs.

Do they still play the blues in Chicago
When baseball season rolls around
When the snow melts away
Do the Cubbies still play
In their ivy-covered burial ground
