Miguel Makes "#Beautiful" Music With Mariah Carey
Miguel had a "beautiful" time working with Mariah Carey on their hit single.
Following the release of "#Beautiful," the 27-year-old singer dished about
what it was like to work with the music superstar on the track.
"She's kind of one of the most quick witted and sharp individuals I've ever
met," Miguel told us at Wango Tango. "You never know how it's gonna be with
another creative individual and how their creative process works with yours,
but it was definitely one of the coolest and easiest sessions I've ever done
with another artist."
Calling the American Idol judge "brilliant," Miguel added that Mariah has "a
lot of foresight."
"Everything she does is very deliberate, which is refreshing," he continued.
"She knows exactly what she wants and what she's doing, and the fact that she
chose to keep me on the record speaks volumes."

Miguel Talks To Billboard About Working With Mariah

Miguel took the Billboard charts by storm with his hit, "Adorn," and Wale's
"Lotus Flower Bomb" which he's featured on. "Adorn" is a finalist in the
Billboard Music Awards' Top R&B Song categories.
The singer-songer, producer has something special in store for his
performance of "Adorn" at the Billboard Music Awards tomorrow (May 19),
airing live on ABC from Las Vegas.
"I'm always looking for something that I haven't seen before," he told
Billboard. "[Also] something that's going to make an impact [by] using simple
elements but creatively so it makes people think a bit."
Miguel recently collaborated with Mariah Carey for her single, "#Beautiful."
The duet between both singers continues to make an impact on the charts,
currently at No. 24 on the Hot 100.
"Mariah [Carey] is, she is so fast. Her mind is is extmrely sharp," he said
of the songstress. "I didn't really know what to expect, how involved she
would be creatively but ... she was really behind the vision of '#Beautiful'
being a duet between her and I. The video went with all of that. She's a
mastermind."
