人非聖賢,孰能無過何況盯著螢幕做這麼多題目,眼拙腦花是難免即使有很多填寫英文名字的經驗, 我還是在再三確認並且仔細核對之後, 把last name 和first name打反了而且在考試前4天才發現這個錯誤有人直接註冊新帳號報名,放棄之前的報名費有人硬著頭皮去考,事後再改希望我的經驗能幫助有相同情形的人 notice:看結論可按end --------------(首先就是寄E-mail)------- 我發現時是1/10日下午兩點我1/14要考試,台灣時間是考前三天美東時間是考前4天首先當然是寄一封信告訴ETS我的問題 http://www.ets.org/toefl/contact/contact_form 請利用上列網址直接寄信給ETS 接著我在1/10日晚上9點開始打電話給ETS 但是一直到凌晨3點都是滿線情形(T^T) 所以我就先去睡覺,在1/11日早上7點再打一次這次一接就通了因此我認為尖峰應該是在台灣時間21:00~04:00 也就是美東時間08:00~15:00 修改名字的電話只有這隻:002-1-609-771-7100 ↑國際電話服務碼,可換 --------------(接著就是打電話給ETS)------ 接通的情形就是,一串語音結束後,語音開始告訴你這通電話將會錄音以保持服務品質云云然後按2,再按0,就可以接到服務人員 -------------(接通電話後)--------------- 我的服務人員是Jessica,她說話超級快,大概是CNN的2倍快,也很簡潔以下是我能記憶的對話內容,文長注意 Jessica:@%@#%@#$(忘記了) Please give me your ID number and !$!#$@%(忘記了) 我:Err...my ETS ID number is XXXXXXX...do I have to speak those zero of mt registration number? J:No. I don't need your registration number. J:Your birthday? 我:May, XXth, XXXX J:(typing loudly) Address? 我:number xx, t-a-i-d-a-p-t-t road, a-b-c district- kaohsiung city, and my country is Taiwan. J:Your name is? 我:Errr...I made a mistake when I type my name, so I have to correct my name by changing the order of my first name and last name. J:Yes? 我:So I have to tell you the name I type or the correct name? (破英文) J:The name you type. 我:OK,the first name is 錯姓, and the last name is 錯名. J:OK...(typing loudly) J:OK, you have a test on this Saturday, (接下來忘記原文,大意是) so 你最好趕快用A4 form傳真給我們你的有效證件以及另一張A4 form paper 上面註明你的問題,你的正確名字,你的ID Number,以及你的Address. 我:So I have to fax you a copy of my passport? J:Yes, passport. And your ID numer and address. Do you need the fax number? 我:Yes, give me the fax number. J:9-7-3-7-3-5-0-3-8-6 我:OK, I will fax you immediately,thank you. J:You're welcome. 我:Err...how soon can I have my name corrected? J:Within one day. 我:OK, thank you...Err, can I have your name? J:You want to have my name? 我:Yes. J:My name is Jessica. 我:Jessica? OK, thank you. J:You're welcome. 我:OK, thank you, bye bye. J:You're welcome, good bye. --------(see? not so difficult!)--------------------- 接著我利用之前有人提供的免費網路傳真將我事先掃描的護照PDF檔及用word轉成PDF的要求資訊用那個免費網路傳真傳過去 Fax number直接輸入9737350386 便利商店怎麼打我就不知了便利商店國際傳真一頁要85元,兩頁要170元阿!! 而且還有可能失敗我在第二頁寫: -------------------------------- I have to correct my name by changing the order of first name and last name. And I will take iBt test in this Saturday (01/14/2012), could it be corrected before my test? ---------------------------------------- EMT+08:00 1/10 13:00發現名字錯 13:37寄信給ETS 1/11 7:10接通ETS服務人員 7:58傳真資料到ETS 21:46收到來信通知名字已經改正結論: 1.姓名倒置錯誤修正只需要護照影本以及要求的資訊身分證、駕照、畢業證書、收據、大頭貼什麼都不需要 2.ETS可以在一天內完成名字修正 3.修正名字只能打到ETS office的電話,1-609-771-7100 台北那支0800沒有權限修改 4.還是必須先寄E-mail過去,因為看回信推斷,有e-mail好像ETS比較好建檔 5.傳真號碼是9737350386 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.210.35.125 ※ 編輯: lelu 來自: 218.210.35.125 (01/12 01:17)
