※ 引述《iwillfly (努力!!加油加油!!)》之銘言: : Hello everyone : I want to improve my reading skill, : so can u introduce any interesting English novels to me? : After reading a novel, I will write a response to improve my writing skill. : I hope someone can interested in my idea and we can exchang our respose : or disccus a content. : I am very excepted. Well, as an English learner for 10 years, I would like to recommend you some novels. (∩_∩) Firstly I want to recommed you two great websites which allow you to read classic novels on line. That is, ↓ http://arthursclassicnovels.com/arthurs/ There are over 3500 classic Novels in Arthurs' Classic Novels website. You can search the authors' names on right hand side and left hand side of the homepage. Then click on it and take a look at their masterpieces. or Gutenburg e-Books: http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page Just type the author's names or works or contexts of the books in the blanks, then find out what you want and download the entire work from the website. By the way!!!!!! There are audio versions of novels, you can hear the contents of the novel if you don't get bored. XD But! Most e-books are classics or maybe late 20 century works, there are very few contemporary works. -- Of course I have some recommendations for you. Charles Dickens - "A Tale of Two Cities" (the cities refer to Paris and London) It's a story happened in the French Revolution and it's about family, love and difficulties of choices of life. It's really a touching and great work :) Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice (you might think it's too popular, but it's a nice work. ) Louisa May Alcott - Little Women A touching story about lives and loves of four sisters during the American Civil War. F. Scott Fitzgerald - The Great Gatsby Gatsby fell in love with a high social class woman and decided to make lots of money to win her heart. However, the woman married another man and Gatsy perished with his disillusion. -- Besides, it seems like you start to read for the first time. So I think maybe you can find out the genres of novels you like first and then decide on which one you want to read. It's just some suggestions. Good day. :) -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.64.177.90
