I winced when I heard the word "facebook."
If they want to be taken seriously as an organization, why would they do that?
Besides, there wasn't even a formal application to begin with.
I had gotten myself an internship before, and I can tell you this:
In general,
candidates have to make active effort to compete
for a good internship opportunity.
They want two recommendation letters together with a formal resume
and a cover letter before certain deadline.
They typically got a lot of applications,
and they only ask people to come in for the interview
when they think the applicants are potentially fit for the job.
Does that mean one would get a job after an interview?
Not necessarily.
Well, I can't really tell you what to do with your INTERNSHIP INVITATION.
But I WOULD NOT take them seriously if I were you.
"How did they find out about you?" you asked me.
Well yeah, I agree, isn't that fishy?
