看這些說明與例句,我們可以做一個簡易的歸納:
"for" 比較偏向 「(可能) 經歷事情產生的感覺」
"to" 則偏向傳達「個人意見」
北京大學英語系教授薄冰在他的著作「英語語法指南」 (p.759) 寫到:
「good for 與 good to 皆可意謂 "對…有益處 。這是語言上一種相互交叉的現象。
也就是說,兩者的本意並不相同,for指 "目標",強調客觀情形, to指"方向",
強調主觀意向」。不過確實很多情況下,各個形容詞本身的搭配才是重點。
如果硬要只憑 "to" 和 "for"就想分析一切,會有偏頗之嫌。
